Assessment

A consultation with surgeon Mr Karavidas and his multidisciplinary team will take place, during which your child will be examined in order to assess the tongue-tie and the impact on function and appearance. Based on the examination findings and the age of the child the team will recommend a treatment plan. If a frenectomy (division of the tongue-tie) is indicated in most cases it can be performed immediately after the consultation.
